Description
The Verus Engineering Rear Diffuser Strake Kit is designed to improve the aerodynamic performance of the factory rear diffuser on the S550 Ford Mustang Shelby GT350. Combining functional aerodynamics, OEM-inspired fitment, and subtle styling, these diffuser strakes increase rear-end downforce and improve overall aerodynamic efficiency without significantly increasing drag.
The Shelby GT350 already features a well-designed factory rear diffuser, but Verus Engineering took the design a step further by adding vertical aerodynamic fences, known as strakes. These strakes help control airflow through the diffuser, increasing downforce while maintaining efficient airflow characteristics.
Using advanced CFD analysis during the research and development process, Verus Engineering optimized the strake design to extract additional performance from the factory diffuser. In-house OEM scan data was also used to develop a precise solution that provides an OE-like fit and finish.

Aerodynamic Science
The Verus Engineering Rear Diffuser Strake Kit improves the efficiency of the Shelby GT350's factory rear diffuser by controlling airflow through the diffuser and helping prevent disruptive airflow from the rear wheels.
The strakes help block horseshoe vortices generated around the rear wheels from interfering with airflow exiting the diffuser. They also control the volume and direction of airflow through the diffuser while strengthening important vortices that help maintain attached diffuser flow.
The result is increased rear downforce with little increase in drag, improving the overall aerodynamic efficiency of the Mustang. By maximizing the performance of the factory diffuser, the Verus Engineering Diffuser Strake Kit can provide additional high-speed tire grip and greater confidence during spirited and track driving.
