Description
The Verus Engineering Rear Diffuser is a functional aerodynamic upgrade designed to reduce lift, reduce drag, and improve overall aerodynamic efficiency on the S550 Ford Mustang. Combining CFD-optimized performance with a subtle, OEM-inspired appearance, the diffuser provides additional high-speed stability and tire grip without an overly aggressive visual design.
Using state-of-the-art aerodynamic analysis during development, Verus Engineering optimized the diffuser to extract additional performance from the S550 chassis. In-house vehicle scan data was used throughout the design process to achieve a near-OEM fit and finish.
The diffuser features a non-aggressive strake design that complements the factory appearance of the S550 Mustang while providing meaningful aerodynamic benefits. Its aerodynamic profile helps create a low-pressure zone beneath the rear of the vehicle and promotes controlled airflow through the diffuser, improving its effectiveness.
The Verus Engineering Rear Diffuser is a direct bolt-on for the standard S550 Mustang chassis. It can also be installed on GT350, GT350R, and Mach 1 models equipped with the differential cooler when used with the appropriate Verus Engineering Differential Cooler Installation Kit. The diffuser can also fit the GT500 with minimal modification.

Aerodynamic Science
The Verus Engineering Rear Diffuser is designed to decrease overall lift and drag on the S550 Mustang chassis, improving the vehicle's aerodynamic efficiency.
The diffuser generates controlled vortices that help keep airflow attached to the diffuser surface, improving its aerodynamic effectiveness. It also creates a low-pressure zone beneath the rear of the vehicle, helping generate additional downforce.
When paired with an appropriate front splitter, the rear diffuser contributes to a more balanced aerodynamic package by creating aerodynamic load at the rear while the splitter generates additional load at the front. This helps maintain a well-proportioned aerodynamic balance across the S550 Mustang.
The result is improved high-speed stability, additional tire grip, reduced drag, and improved aerodynamic performance without requiring an excessively aggressive rear-end appearance.

Installation
The Verus Engineering Rear Diffuser is designed as a simple, non-invasive bolt-on installation for the standard S550 Mustang chassis.
For GT350, GT350R, and Mach 1 vehicles equipped with the differential cooler, the appropriate Verus Engineering differential cooler installation kit is required. GT500 applications require minimal modification.
