The splitter is manufactured from carbon thermoplastic, a durable material used in high-level motorsports. It also avoids the tendency of aluminum splitters to grab the ground and bend underneath the vehicle.

Verus Engineering developed the bracket system using vehicle scan data and precision CNC cutting and bending processes to ensure accurate, repeatable installation. The carbon splitter diffusers were developed and optimized through Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) to promote airflow and improve downforce generation.

Why Carbon Thermoplastic?

The Verus Engineering carbon thermoplastic splitter material provides an effective combination of strength, low weight, durability, and appearance.

Unlike conventional carbon fiber or ABS splitters, the carbon thermoplastic material is not brittle and is less prone to cracking or breaking from contact and abrasion. Compared with aluminum splitter designs, it is less likely to grab the ground and bend underneath the vehicle.

This makes carbon thermoplastic particularly well suited to a front splitter that is exposed to the demanding conditions of track driving, curbing, and occasional ground contact.

Aerodynamic Science

When properly designed, a front splitter can significantly increase front-end aerodynamic grip by generating a pressure differential between the upper and lower surfaces. Verus Engineering used advanced aerodynamic analysis and an iterative design process to extract additional performance from the complete front splitter, air dam, and diffuser combination.

The underside of the splitter was incrementally refined to improve airflow into and through the carbon splitter diffusers. CFD analysis was used to develop the diffuser geometry and promote more effective airflow, contributing to increased front-end downforce.

Verus Engineering also sized the front splitter and dive-plane system to work with the rear aerodynamic package. This allows the increased front downforce to properly counterbalance the additional rear load generated by large rear wings and the factory diffuser, creating a safer and more effective aerodynamic balance.

Ventus 2 & Ventus 3 Aerodynamic Package

The Front Splitter Kit is part of the Verus Engineering Ventus 2 and Ventus 3 aerodynamic packages for the Porsche 991.2 GT3 RS.

These aerodynamic packages are designed to significantly increase downforce compared with the factory vehicle while maintaining a balanced setup suitable for track and HPDE enthusiasts.

Verus Engineering's development goal was to dramatically improve the aerodynamic performance of the factory Porsche 991.2 GT3 RS while maintaining predictable and balanced handling characteristics.

Street usability was also considered during development. The aerodynamic package was designed with reasonable front splitter stick-out and rear wing widths, helping retain a practical level of street drivability while delivering substantial improvements in track performance.

Installation

The Verus Engineering Front Splitter Kit includes a complete bracket, support, diffuser, and hardware system for installation on the Porsche 991.2 GT3 RS.

The mounting brackets are developed from vehicle scan data and are CNC cut and bent for repeatable fitment. The included support rods, cross beam, clevises, and stainless hardware provide the structural support required for the splitter's 300+ lb load capability.
