Increase front-end aerodynamic performance on your Porsche 991.2 GT3 with the Verus Engineering Front Splitter Kit. A properly designed front splitter generates significant front-end downforce by creating a large pressure differential between its upper and lower surfaces, increasing front-end grip without a significant increase in drag.

Verus Engineering used state-of-the-art aerodynamic analysis and CFD to properly size the splitter in relation to the rear wing setup. This approach helps create an effective front-to-rear aerodynamic balance while providing the additional front-end grip needed for high-performance track driving.

The splitter is constructed from carbon thermoplastic, a lightweight, stiff, and highly durable material used in various forms of high-level motorsport. Unlike conventional carbon fiber and ABS, the material is designed to resist cracking and breaking. Unlike aluminum splitters, it will not grab the ground and bend underneath the vehicle in the same manner.

Carbon thermoplastic is also designed to abrade and take a beating while maintaining its performance and appearance, making it particularly well suited to a front splitter that can experience contact with debris and track surfaces.

Why Carbon Thermoplastic?

The Verus Engineering Front Splitter uses carbon thermoplastic to provide a combination of strength, low weight, durability, stiffness, and appearance.

Traditional carbon fiber and ABS components can be susceptible to cracking or breaking when exposed to impacts. The carbon thermoplastic material used for this splitter is designed to withstand abrasion and impacts while maintaining its structural performance.

Compared with aluminum splitter materials, carbon thermoplastic is also designed to avoid grabbing the ground and bending underneath the vehicle.

This combination makes it particularly well suited to a front splitter that may encounter debris, curbing, or other harsh track conditions.

Aerodynamic Science

When properly designed, a front splitter can substantially increase front-end grip by creating a pressure differential between the top and bottom surfaces.

For the 991.2 GT3, Verus Engineering used advanced aerodynamic analysis to properly size the front splitter around the UCW rear wing blade upgrade. The goal was to establish a safe and effective aerodynamic balance between the front and rear of the vehicle.

Maintaining proper aerodynamic balance is especially important when adding significant rear downforce. The front splitter provides additional front-end aerodynamic load to complement the rear wing, helping create a more balanced setup for high-speed driving.

Ventus 3 Aerodynamic Package

The Front Splitter Kit is part of the Verus Engineering Ventus 3 aerodynamic package for the Porsche 991 GT3.

The Ventus 3 package is designed to significantly increase aerodynamic downforce compared with the factory 991 GT3 while maintaining a balanced setup for track and HPDE driving.

Verus Engineering also focused on retaining street usability, with reasonable front splitter stick-out and rear wing widths. This allows the aerodynamic package to provide substantial performance improvements without turning the vehicle into a track-only configuration.

Rear Wing Balance

The splitter was specifically sized around the UCW rear wing blade upgrade to help maintain appropriate aerodynamic balance.

Adding a large rear wing can significantly increase rear downforce. The corresponding increase in front-end aerodynamic load from the splitter helps counterbalance that additional rear load, creating a more effective overall aerodynamic package.

Installation

The Verus Engineering Front Splitter Kit uses a non-invasive bolt-on installation and includes the required brackets, cross brace beam, splitter ties, machined clevises, and stainless hardware.
