Description
The Verus Engineering Front Splitter Kit for the Porsche 992 GT3 is engineered to generate substantial front-end downforce while keeping aerodynamic drag to a minimum. A properly designed splitter creates a significant pressure differential between its upper and lower surfaces, increasing aerodynamic load on the front axle and improving high-speed front-end grip.
Verus Engineering further refined the splitter through an iterative development process, incorporating design improvements to the underside of the splitter blade to optimize airflow. The carbon polyweave splitter blades were developed to improve airflow management while providing the durability required for demanding track use.
During CFD development, Verus Engineering optimized the splitter around the Porsche 992 GT3's overall aerodynamic balance. The front splitter and dive planes were specifically sized to work with the factory diffuser and rear wing, helping create a safe and effective front-to-rear aerodynamic balance.
No cutting or permanent modification to the Porsche is required for installation.
The splitter is manufactured from carbon thermoplastic, a material used in high-level motorsport applications. Unlike brittle carbon fiber and ABS, carbon thermoplastic is designed to withstand significant abuse without easily cracking. It also avoids the tendency of aluminum splitter designs to grab the ground and bend underneath the vehicle.
The carbon polyweave construction is designed to abrade when exposed to repeated contact with the ground or track surface, allowing the splitter to withstand substantial abuse while maintaining its overall functionality and appearance.
The mounting system is chassis mounted and engineered to withstand the aerodynamic loads generated by the splitter. The system is capable of handling 300+ lbs of load, providing a robust foundation for high-downforce applications.

Why Carbon Thermoplastic?
The Verus Engineering front splitter uses carbon thermoplastic to provide an excellent balance of strength, low weight, stiffness, durability, and appearance.
The material is designed to withstand the abuse associated with aggressive track driving. Unlike traditional carbon fiber and ABS splitter materials, carbon thermoplastic is less prone to cracking and breaking. It also avoids the behavior of aluminum splitters that can grab the ground and bend underneath the vehicle.
The carbon polyweave splitter blades are specifically designed to withstand abrasion. Rather than becoming brittle when exposed to repeated contact, the material can abrade away while allowing the splitter to continue performing its aerodynamic function.
Aerodynamic Science
When properly designed, a front splitter can significantly increase front-end grip by creating a large pressure differential between the upper and lower surfaces. This generates additional aerodynamic load on the front axle, improving front-end grip as vehicle speed increases.
For the Porsche 992 GT3, Verus Engineering used an iterative development process and advanced aerodynamic analysis software to extract additional performance from the combination of the front splitter and factory diffuser.
The splitter was also properly sized in conjunction with the dive planes to counteract the aerodynamic load generated by the rear wing and factory diffuser. This allows the complete system to maintain a safe and effective aerodynamic balance rather than simply adding front or rear downforce independently.
The result is a balanced aerodynamic package designed to improve high-speed performance, front-end grip, and overall vehicle stability.
Ventus 2 Aerodynamic Package
The Verus Engineering Front Splitter Kit is part of the Ventus 2 aerodynamic package for the Porsche 992 GT3.
The Ventus 2 package is designed to significantly increase aerodynamic downforce compared with the factory Porsche GT3 while maintaining a safe and balanced setup.
Verus Engineering developed the package specifically for the typical track and HPDE enthusiast, with the goal of dramatically improving aerodynamic performance without making the vehicle impractical for street use.
Street usability was considered throughout the development process, including maintaining reasonable front splitter protrusion and rear wing widths.
Installation
The Front Splitter Kit features a non-invasive installation and does not require cutting or permanent modification to the Porsche 992 GT3.
The chassis-mounted design uses the included brackets, structural tubing, cross beam, and support beams to securely transfer aerodynamic loads into the vehicle chassis.
