Description
The Verus Engineering Flat Underbody Panel Kit for the Ford Mustang Shelby GT350 and GT350R is designed to dramatically clean up the underbody of the S550 Mustang. While Ford engineered the GT350 platform with impressive aerodynamic performance from the factory, the exposed areas underneath the vehicle leave opportunities for further aerodynamic improvement.
Verus Engineering developed this kit as a simple bolt-on solution to create a flatter, cleaner underbody. By covering open areas and reducing unwanted turbulence underneath the vehicle, the panels help reduce aerodynamic drag and improve underbody airflow.
When combined with the Verus Engineering Fender Evacuation Kit and Turning Vane Kit, the Flat Underbody Panel Kit forms a more complete underbody aerodynamic system. This combination significantly cleans up airflow underneath the Mustang, helping reduce drag while providing a modest increase in downforce.
Using state-of-the-art aerodynamic analysis software throughout the R&D process, Verus Engineering optimized the panels to extract additional performance from the available space. CFD development was used to improve airflow, increase downforce generation, and reduce drag.
In-house vehicle scan data was also used during development, resulting in a near-OEM fit and finish.
