The airfoil was optimized using advanced aerodynamic analysis software and further refined through CFD testing to ensure effective airflow over the wing when installed on the vehicle. The Verus Engineering UCW Rear Wing was specifically developed for the VA WRX/STI platform to provide substantially more rear downforce than Verus Engineering's high-efficiency rear wing.

The UCW airfoil is capable of generating aerodynamic downforce across an angle of attack range from 0 to 15 degrees, allowing the wing to be adjusted according to the vehicle's aerodynamic requirements and overall setup.

As part of the Verus Engineering Ventus 3 aerodynamic package, the UCW rear wing works alongside the rest of the aerodynamic system to provide a significant increase in total vehicle downforce. This additional rear grip can help balance a substantial front aero package while increasing cornering confidence and reducing lap times.
