Take the rear-end aerodynamic performance of your Subaru STI GV to the next level with the Verus Engineering UCW Rear Wing Kit. Designed to significantly increase rear downforce, the UCW Rear Wing provides greater high-speed confidence, increased cornering capability, and the potential to reduce lap times on track.
The UCW was developed to bridge the performance gap between Verus Engineering's Swan Neck High-Efficiency Rear Wing and the larger 300mm V1X airfoil. Featuring a 250mm curved chord, the UCW generates more downforce than the high-efficiency rear wing while producing significantly more downforce than similarly sized competitor wings.
Verus Engineering optimized the airfoil using state-of-the-art aerodynamic analysis software and an ANSYS Adjoint Solver, maximizing aerodynamic performance within the available build volume derived from the V1X platform. CFD analysis was then used to ensure the wing receives adequate airflow when installed on the vehicle and maintains strong aerodynamic performance.
In-house vehicle scan data was also used during development to achieve a near-OEM fit and finish.
The UCW is designed for track-focused STI owners who need a significant increase in rear downforce to properly balance a substantial front aerodynamic package.

UCW Airfoil Design
The Verus Engineering UCW Rear Wing was developed to sit between the company's Swan Neck High-Efficiency Rear Wing and 300mm V1X airfoil in terms of aerodynamic performance.
Its 250mm curved-chord profile was designed to generate a substantial increase in rear downforce while maintaining an efficient aerodynamic package. According to Verus Engineering, the UCW produces more downforce than the high-efficiency rear wing and significantly more than similarly sized competitor wings.
The airfoil was optimized around the available build volume derived from the V1X platform, allowing Verus Engineering to extract additional aerodynamic performance from the available packaging space.
Aerodynamic Efficiency
The UCW airfoil was optimized using the ANSYS Adjoint Solver to improve aerodynamic performance and lift-to-drag efficiency.
CFD analysis was also used to verify that the wing receives adequate airflow when installed on the GV STI and performs effectively under operating conditions.
The wing is capable of operating across a 0–15° angle-of-attack range, allowing aerodynamic performance to be adjusted according to the vehicle's setup and driver's requirements.
500+ lbs Downforce Capability

CFD & Real-World Validation
Verus Engineering validated the UCW Rear Wing through both CFD analysis and real-world experimental testing.
The company reports a strong correlation between its CFD results and real-world test data. The wing achieved the major performance targets established during the initial CFD development process and subsequently validated through physical testing.
This correlation provides confidence in both the aerodynamic analysis methodology and the performance of the finished UCW Rear Wing.
