Description
The Verus Engineering UCW Rear Wing Kit, Bottom Mount is a high-performance aerodynamic upgrade designed specifically for the Chevrolet Corvette Stingray Convertible (C8). Developed for track-focused drivers, the UCW Rear Wing significantly increases rear downforce to improve high-speed stability, cornering confidence, and overall aerodynamic balance.
The UCW airfoil was developed using CFD analysis, ANSYS Adjoint Solver optimization, and wind tunnel testing to maximize aerodynamic efficiency within the available packaging constraints. The design creates a low-pressure zone beneath the wing element that pulls the vehicle downward, generating substantial rear downforce with a relatively small drag penalty.
Verus Engineering also used detailed in-house vehicle scan data to achieve a near-OEM fit and finish. The machined aluminum uprights and trunk mounts are designed to work with the factory trunk while placing the mounting structure in areas already affected by airflow.
The UCW Rear Wing is particularly well suited to vehicles running a significant front aerodynamic package, where additional rear downforce is required to maintain a balanced aerodynamic setup.

The Verus Engineering UCW Rear Wing was designed to create a strong low-pressure region beneath the wing element. This pressure differential generates aerodynamic load that pushes the rear of the Corvette toward the track surface, increasing rear downforce and improving high-speed grip.

Construction & Materials
The UCW wing element is manufactured from 2x2 twill pre-preg carbon fiber, then autoclave cured and finished with an automotive high-gloss clear coat.
The mounting system is CNC machined in-house from 6061-T6 aluminum using 5-axis machining. The large mounting surfaces are designed to sandwich the factory trunk structure, providing the strength required to support the substantial aerodynamic loads generated by the UCW wing.
The kit also includes carbon fiber endplates, convertible-specific lower trunk supports, and stainless steel hardware throughout.
Installation
The UCW Rear Wing is designed to install onto the factory trunk area using the supplied mounting hardware and templates.
The large-surface-area mounting system sandwiches the trunk structure between the upper and lower mounting components. The convertible-specific bottom supports are included specifically for the C8 Stingray Convertible application.
