Description
The Verus Engineering Flat Underbody Panel Kit is designed to complete the underbody of the Porsche 981 Cayman GT4 by covering the large open area between the factory belly pan and rear diffuser. By smoothing airflow through this turbulent section of the underbody, the panels help reduce aerodynamic drag while improving airflow into the rear diffuser.
The center section of the vehicle's underbody can generate significant turbulence and drag. Covering these areas with flat aluminum panels creates a smoother underbody surface, helping air flow more efficiently toward the rear of the vehicle.
Using CFD analysis, Verus Engineering estimates that the Flat Underbody Panel Kit can reduce the vehicle's coefficient of drag (cD) by approximately 0.007, or 7 drag points.
The panels are manufactured from CNC-cut and CNC-bent 5052 aluminum and finished with a durable black powder coating. Stainless steel hardware is used throughout the installation for long-term durability.
When paired with the Verus Engineering Rear Diffuser, the Flat Underbody Panel Kit helps improve diffuser performance while simultaneously reducing underbody drag and vehicle lift.
Note: The kit can also be used on other Porsche 981 models, but slight modifications may be required for mounting.
