Description
The Verus Engineering Flat Underbody Cover Kit for the Porsche 987 Cayman is designed to complete the vehicle's underbody by covering the large open area between the factory belly pan and rear diffuser.
The center section of the vehicle's underbody can generate turbulent airflow and aerodynamic drag. By covering these areas with flat aluminum panels, the Verus Engineering system creates a smoother underbody surface, reducing turbulence and improving overall aerodynamic efficiency.
The smoother airflow also provides cleaner, less turbulent air to the rear diffuser, allowing the diffuser to operate more effectively and generate additional downforce.
Through CFD analysis, Verus Engineering estimates that the underbody panels can reduce the vehicle's coefficient of drag (cD) by approximately 0.007, equivalent to 7 drag points.
The panels are manufactured from 5052 aluminum, CNC cut and bent for repeatable production, then finished with a durable black powder coat. Stainless steel hardware is used throughout the installation.
For maximum aerodynamic performance, the Flat Underbody Cover Kit can be paired with the Verus Engineering Rear Diffuser to help reduce both lift and drag.
