Description
The Verus Engineering UCW Rear Wing Kit for the Porsche 981 and 718 GT4 is designed to significantly increase rear-end downforce, improve high-speed confidence, and help reduce lap times on the track.
Designed to work with factory or aftermarket uprights, the UCW Rear Wing provides a substantial aerodynamic upgrade while maintaining a clean, OEM-style installation. The rear wing bolts on easily and is designed to handle significant aerodynamic loads, making it an effective performance upgrade for both on-track and high-performance driving applications.
Using state-of-the-art aerodynamic analysis software during the R&D process, Verus Engineering optimized the airfoil for performance within the available build volume. The airfoil design is derived from the V1X platform, while CFD analysis was used to ensure the wing receives adequate airflow when installed on the vehicle and performs as intended.
During development, Verus Engineering utilized in-house vehicle scan data to achieve a near-OEM fit and finish. The UCW Rear Wing is designed to fit both the Porsche 718 GT4 and Porsche 981 GT4, providing a stock-replacement-style installation.

Aerodynamic Development
The Verus Engineering UCW Rear Wing was specifically developed for Porsche enthusiasts looking for increased rear-end downforce and improved aerodynamic balance.
The wing is capable of operating and generating downforce across an angle-of-attack range from 0 to 15 degrees. This adjustment range allows the wing to balance a variety of front aerodynamic systems and provides flexibility when configuring the overall aerodynamic balance of the vehicle.
The UCW airfoil was optimized using the ANSYS Adjoint Solver to improve its aerodynamic efficiency and performance. Verus Engineering also utilized CFD analysis to ensure the rear wing receives adequate airflow when installed on the Porsche 981 GT4 and 718 GT4.
CFD results were validated against real-world experimental data, with the testing showing strong correlation to the aerodynamic results predicted during development. This validation confirms the wing's performance and the design goals established during the R&D process.
