Description
The Verus Engineering Dual-Element Dive Plane (Canard) Kit is designed to increase front-end downforce and shift the aerodynamic balance forward on the Ford Mustang Shelby GT350 and GT350R. The dual-element design adds front aerodynamic load without requiring the front splitter to be moved farther forward or positioned lower, making it an effective solution for vehicles that are driven both on the street and track.
The Verus Engineering Dual-Element Dive Plane Kit increases front-end downforce while introducing minimal drag according to CFD analysis. The dive planes also improve airflow evacuation from the front wheel wells, helping reduce lift and improve overall aerodynamic performance.
Using advanced aerodynamic analysis and in-house vehicle scan data, Verus Engineering optimized the dive plane design for both performance and fitment. Included installation templates help position each dive plane accurately for a clean, consistent installation.
The dive planes are ideal for owners looking to shift the vehicle's aero balance forward to complement a large rear wing or rear diffuser. They can also be used with the factory aerodynamic setup when additional front-end grip is desired.
Please note: This product is only compatible with the OEM GT350 front bumper.

Aerodynamic Science
Properly designed dive planes, also known as canards, can improve front-end grip and cornering performance by increasing front-end downforce and reducing aerodynamic lift.
The Verus Engineering Dual-Element Dive Plane Kit was developed using OpenFOAM aerodynamic analysis software. During development, Verus Engineering specifically targeted vortex generation to improve airflow evacuation from the front fender wells while also helping seal the sides of the vehicle.
By improving airflow around the front wheel wells, the dive planes can increase front-end downforce without negatively affecting the overall aerodynamic performance of the vehicle. This allows the kit to provide a forward shift in aerodynamic balance while maintaining efficient airflow characteristics.
The dive planes are part of the Verus Engineering Ventus aerodynamic packages for the Shelby GT350. These packages are designed to significantly increase overall vehicle downforce while maintaining a safe and balanced aerodynamic setup at high speeds.
The Dual-Element Dive Plane Kit is particularly useful when balancing a vehicle equipped with a large rear wing or rear diffuser. By shifting the aerodynamic balance toward the front, the dive planes can help create a more neutral and predictable vehicle at speed.
Installation
The Verus Engineering Dual-Element Dive Plane Kit uses 3M VHB double-sided tape for a non-invasive installation, meaning no holes need to be drilled into the OEM bumper. A paper installation template is included to ensure accurate placement of all four dive plane elements.
The kit is designed for straightforward installation and is supplied with the necessary mounting tape and installation template.
OEM GT350 front bumper required.
