Take your BMW F87 M2 Competition to the next level with the CarBahn Performance 539 HP Stage 2 Performance Controller. Designed for the S55-powered 2019–2021 BMW M2 Competition, this self-install performance controller increases boost pressure to deliver substantial horsepower and torque gains.
The plug-and-play CarBahn Performance Controller (CPC) features selectable fuel-specific maps controlled through a Bluetooth smartphone application. With 100-octane fuel, the Stage 2 calibration produces up to 539 HP and 559 lb-ft of calculated flywheel torque, with measured wheel output reaching 474 WHP and 492 WTQ.

CarBahn Performance Controller (CPC)
The CarBahn Performance Controller is a plug-and-play ECU performance solution designed to increase boost pressure in turbocharged vehicles, significantly increasing horsepower and torque.
The CPC features selectable performance maps that can be accessed through a Bluetooth smartphone application. The maps are designed to accommodate different fuel octane levels for additional performance.
Available octane maps include:
- 91 Octane
- 93 Octane
- 100 Octane
The self-install design allows the controller to be installed without requiring a factory ECU flash.
Future Software Upgrade
If you choose to trade your CarBahn Performance Controller for software tuning in the future, a $250 upgrade fee applies.
If the optional CarBahn powertrain warranty was purchased, the warranty is transferable to the software upgrade at no additional charge.

CarBahn offers an optional powertrain warranty for its products, including the Performance Controller.
Warranty Registration
Registration with CarBahn Autoworks at the time of purchase is required to maintain matching warranty coverage. CarBahn Autoworks reserves the right to deny warranty program enrollment under certain conditions.
Warranty Coverage
The warranty is valid on U.S. and Canadian specification vehicles only.
If the vehicle is currently covered by the vehicle manufacturer's new-car limited warranty, CarBahn Autoworks products are warranted for the remaining term of that manufacturer warranty.
The manufacturer's new-car warranty is limited to 4 years or 50,000 miles, or 80,000 kilometers in Canada, beginning on the date of first retail sale or when the vehicle is first placed into service as a demonstrator or company vehicle, whichever occurs earlier.
CarBahn Autoworks warranties are transferable when ownership of the vehicle into which the CarBahn Autoworks products were originally installed is sold.
The warranty will, without charge for parts or labor, repair or replace defective CarBahn Autoworks components, as well as original vehicle manufacturer components that may have been directly affected by a CarBahn Autoworks component. New or authorized remanufactured parts may be used.
The decision to repair or replace parts is at the sole discretion of CarBahn Autoworks. Parts replaced under this limited warranty become the property of CarBahn Autoworks. A reasonable period must be allowed for warranty repairs to be completed.
For vehicles outside the manufacturer's new-car limited warranty, CarBahn Autoworks will, for two years from the original purchase date of the CarBahn Autoworks product, repair or replace, at its sole discretion, defective CarBahn Autoworks components.
This coverage does not include reimbursement for repairs to original vehicle manufacturer components that may have been affected by a CarBahn Autoworks component.
Warranty Exclusions
Warranty coverage excludes:
- Return shipping charges
- Towing charges
- Rental car fees
- Damage to a component or assembly caused by installation of replacement parts with specifications materially different from the original vehicle manufacturer or CarBahn Autoworks parts
- Damage resulting from unauthorized modification of a CarBahn Autoworks part or assembly
- Damage resulting from using other manufacturers' products in conjunction with CarBahn Autoworks products or systems
- Clutch damage caused by power shifting or abuse
- Brake rotor warping
- Friction materials
- Maintenance services and maintenance parts, including spark plugs, lubricants, fluids, engine tune-up parts, filters, coolant, and refrigerant
- Mechanical adjustments or repairs resulting from normal wear and tear
- Drive belts
- Light bulbs
- Damage caused by failure to perform maintenance at specified intervals or according to the original vehicle manufacturer or CarBahn Autoworks instructions
- Damage attributable to negligence or abuse
- Improper installation
- Improper treatment or treatment contrary to the owner's manual or CarBahn Autoworks product instructions
- Engine damage resulting from alteration of CarBahn Autoworks' original boost pressure
- Damage resulting from improper or contaminated fuel
- Damage caused by corrosion resulting from weak or improper coolant
- Damage to a CarBahn Autoworks component caused by collision or improper collision repairs
- Vehicles operated in competitive events or subjected to aggressive track conditions
- Custom-designed competition parts
- Damages resulting from loss of time, inconvenience, or loss of vehicle use
- Damage resulting from environmental influences, flood, accident, fire, or road salt corrosion
- Remanufactured or refurbished products or components, which are warranted only for the period specified for the particular product
Emissions Legality
CarBahn notes that removing the catalytic converter through the use of downpipes can create emissions compliance issues. According to CarBahn, back-to-back dyno testing with the catalytic converter installed and removed showed a power gain of approximately 11 HP.
Removing the catalytic converter can make it difficult to pass required emissions testing and may be illegal depending on applicable laws and regulations.
