Description
The CarBahn Performance Controller (CPC) is a plug-and-play performance controller designed for the BMW G87 M2 with the S58 turbocharged engine. The Stage 1 Performance Controller increases boost pressure to enhance horsepower and torque while maintaining a convenient, selectable-map setup through a Bluetooth-connected mobile application.
Designed by the CarBahn engineering team and Steve Dinan, the CPC provides selectable performance maps for 91, 93, and 100 octane fuel, allowing the driver to select the appropriate calibration for the fuel being used.
On the G87 M2 with automatic transmission and 100-octane fuel, the CarBahn-tuned configuration produces a measured 619 HP calculated flywheel output, compared with 554 HP for the OEM configuration. The system also produces 573 lb-ft of calculated flywheel torque in this configuration.
The CarBahn Performance Controller is ready to install and requires approximately 2 hours for installation.

Emissions Legality
CarBahn notes that removing the catalytic converter through the installation of downpipes provides minimal power gains of approximately 11 HP while making emissions testing difficult. Catalyst removal is also illegal.

An optional powertrain warranty is available for purchase. Customers who later upgrade to software can do so for a $250 fee. The warranty is transferable at no additional charge.
