The CarBahn Performance Stage 1 Performance Controller is designed to increase horsepower and torque on BMW G8X M3 and M4 models through a plug-and-play controller that increases boost pressure in turbocharged engines. With selectable performance maps controlled through a Bluetooth smartphone app, the CarBahn Performance Controller provides multiple octane-specific tuning options for street and performance driving.
The system supports 91, 93, and 100 octane fuel maps and is designed for both rear-wheel-drive and xDrive applications, with manual and automatic transmission compatibility. The controller is ready to install and is designed for a straightforward installation using the vehicle's existing connections.

CarBahn Performance Controller (CPC)
The CarBahn Performance Controller (CPC) is a plug-and-play ECU controller designed to increase boost pressure in turbocharged vehicles to increase horsepower and torque. The controller uses Bluetooth connectivity to allow users to select different performance maps through a smartphone application.
The available maps are designed for different fuel octane levels and include 91, 93, and 100 octane options.

Optional Powertrain Warranty & Software Upgrade
An optional powertrain warranty can be purchased with the CarBahn Performance Controller.
If the customer chooses to trade the CarBahn Performance Controller for CarBahn software in the future, a $250 upgrade fee applies. Customers who purchased the optional warranty can transfer the warranty to the software upgrade at no additional charge.
Emissions Legality
CarBahn notes that removing the catalytic converter through the use of aftermarket downpipes provides a much smaller power increase than commonly claimed. Back-to-back dyno testing with the catalytic converter installed and removed reportedly showed a gain of approximately 11 HP.
Removing the catalytic converter can make the vehicle difficult to pass required emissions testing and is illegal in applicable jurisdictions. Check local emissions regulations before modifying the vehicle's emissions-control equipment.
