The CANchecked BMC04 Brake Temperature Cabled Monitoring Set is a purpose-built brake temperature monitoring solution designed for high-performance automotive and motorsport applications.
Using a direct wired connection, the BMC04 provides reliable power, signal transmission, and CAN communication for demanding environments where consistent sensor connectivity is essential. The system uses four multi-channel infrared temperature sensors, with one sensor positioned at each corner of the vehicle, to provide real-time brake temperature data.
Each BMC01 infrared temperature sensor features 16 configurable temperature measurement channels and an adjustable refresh rate of up to 64Hz, allowing detailed monitoring of brake disc temperatures across multiple measurement points.
With a wide temperature measurement range of -40°C to +1200°C, high measurement accuracy, and compact IP66-rated housings, the BMC04 is designed to provide dependable brake temperature monitoring for racing, track, and other high-performance applications.

Infrared Brake Temperature Monitoring
The BMC01 infrared sensors use non-contact infrared measurement to monitor brake disc temperatures without requiring a physical temperature probe to contact the brake components.
Each sensor provides 16 configurable measurement channels, allowing temperature data to be collected from multiple measurement points across the brake disc. The refresh rate can be configured up to 64Hz, providing detailed temperature data for high-performance driving and motorsport applications.
The wide 110° × 6° field of view provides broad measurement coverage, while the optional 55° field of view can be used when more focused temperature measurement is required.
Wired CANchecked Architecture
Unlike wireless versions of the CANchecked brake temperature monitoring system, the BMC04 uses a direct wired connection between the sensors and the vehicle monitoring system.
The cabled configuration provides a reliable connection for motorsport and high-performance applications where consistent power and data communication are important.
The included AWG22 cables and DTM connectors provide the necessary components for integrating the four BMC01 sensors into the vehicle's monitoring setup.
Sensor Construction
Each BMC01 sensor features a compact aluminum/polyamide housing measuring only 48.6 × 25.75 × 13.3 mm and weighing 25g.
The sensors are rated IP66 and designed to operate from -40°C to 85°C, making them suitable for demanding automotive and motorsport environments.
Optional Sensor Protection
A sensor protection lens kit is available separately for the BMC01 sensors. The optional lens can provide additional protection for the infrared sensor in demanding installation environments.
Installation
