Description
The CANchecked BMB04 Brake Temperature Monitoring Set is a wireless infrared brake temperature monitoring system designed for high-performance street vehicles, track cars, racing applications, and vehicle testing.
Using four BMB01 multi-channel infrared temperature sensors, the BMB04 system provides real-time brake disc temperature monitoring at all four corners of the vehicle. Each sensor supports three configurable temperature measurement channels and an adjustable refresh rate of up to 10 Hz, allowing detailed monitoring of brake temperatures during demanding driving and track sessions.
The sensors communicate wirelessly via Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) and can be paired with compatible software and mobile applications, including applications such as Harry's LapTimer. This provides a convenient way to view and record brake temperature data without requiring a wired connection to each sensor.
Each sensor features a rechargeable 250 mAh USB-C battery capable of providing up to 15 hours of active track use per charge. The compact aluminum/polyamide housing is IP65 rated and designed for demanding motorsport environments.

Infrared Brake Temperature Monitoring
The BMB01 sensors use infrared temperature measurement to monitor brake disc temperatures without requiring physical contact with the braking surface.
Each sensor provides up to three configurable measurement channels, allowing temperature data to be collected from multiple areas of the brake disc. The adjustable refresh rate of up to 10 Hz provides frequent temperature updates for track testing and brake performance analysis.
The standard 110° × 6° field of view provides broad measurement coverage, while the optional 55° field of view can be used for more focused measurements.
