Description
The CANchecked TMU04 Tire Temperature Monitoring Set is a wireless infrared tire temperature monitoring system designed for high-performance street vehicles, track cars, and motorsport applications.
The complete system uses four multi-channel TMU01 infrared temperature sensors, with one sensor positioned at each corner of the vehicle. Each sensor wirelessly measures tire surface temperatures and transmits the data to the included CAN Bus WiFi receiver, allowing tire temperature information to be integrated into a compatible CANchecked display or monitoring system.
Each TMU01 sensor provides up to 8 configurable temperature measurement channels and supports refresh rates of up to 50 Hz, allowing detailed real-time monitoring of tire temperatures during track driving and vehicle testing.
The sensors feature rechargeable 250 mAh batteries with up to 15 hours of active track use per charge. Their compact aluminum/polyamide housings are IP65 rated and designed to withstand demanding motorsport environments.
The TMU04 set also includes a charging and storage box, allowing all four sensors to be charged simultaneously while providing dedicated storage for the CAN receiver. Infrared Tire Temperature Monitoring
The TMU01 sensors use infrared temperature measurement to monitor tire surface temperatures without requiring physical contact with the tire.
Each sensor can monitor multiple temperature measurement channels, allowing users to collect detailed temperature information across the tire surface. With refresh rates of up to 50 Hz, the system is designed to provide the real-time data required for track testing and performance analysis.
The wide 110° × 6° field of view provides broad coverage, while the optional 55° configuration can be used where a more focused measurement area is preferred.
Wireless CAN Integration
The four TMU01 sensors communicate wirelessly with the included CAN Bus WiFi receiver box.
The receiver uses a DTM04-4P connector to integrate the collected temperature information into a compatible CANchecked display or monitoring setup. This allows tire temperature data to be viewed alongside other vehicle parameters within a centralized data monitoring system.
Rechargeable Battery System
Each TMU01 sensor contains a 250 mAh rechargeable battery and can provide up to 15 hours of active track use per charge.

Installation
