The ACT Mod-Twin 225 HD Sprung Race Clutch Kit (T1RS-B01) is engineered for high-powered BMW AWD applications requiring exceptional torque capacity, aggressive engagement, and reliable performance under demanding racing conditions. This twin-disc clutch combines dual ceramic friction surfaces with an ultra-durable sprung Mono-Drive hub assembly to deliver high friction capacity while helping reduce driveline shock and extend input shaft life.
The Mod-Twin's diaphragm spring undergoes ACT's exclusive four-stage heat-treating process for consistent pedal effort. Its steel-backed, puck-style ceramic friction plates provide a high coefficient of friction, excellent heat capacity, and long service life. The sprung Mono-Drive hub transfers torque efficiently while helping absorb torsional vibration.
The kit includes a CNC-machined and dynamically balanced flywheel, pressure plate cover, diaphragm spring, face, puck-style ceramic friction plates, sprung Mono-Drive hub assembly, floater, patented Monoloc Collar, release bearing, alignment tool, and pilot bearing when required. Mod-Twin components are fully rebuildable, and most components can be purchased separately.
With a rated torque capacity of 1,060 ft-lbs., this ACT Heavy Duty twin-disc clutch provides a substantial upgrade over OE capacity and is designed for Drag, Road, and Rally Racing applications.
