The ACT Mod-Twin 225 HD Rigid Race Clutch Kit is a high-performance twin-disc clutch system engineered for BMW 3.0L turbocharged N54 and N55 applications. Designed for demanding performance builds, this clutch tackles aggressive launches and rapid shifting by combining dual ceramic friction surfaces with a rigid Mono-Drive chrome-moly hub in a fully modular design.
The T1R-B05 Mod-Twin 225 HD Rigid Race Kit delivers a 1060 ft/lbs. torque capacity, representing a 246% increase over OE capacity. Its ceramic puck-style friction plates provide a high coefficient of friction, excellent heat capacity, and long service life under demanding racing conditions.
The rigid Mono-Drive hub is manufactured from chrome-moly material and heat treated for increased strength and durability. Its continuous spline design helps extend input shaft life, while the lightweight rigid construction promotes quicker shifting and consistent power transfer.
Each diaphragm spring undergoes ACT's exclusive four-stage heat-treating process to provide consistent clamp load and relatively light pedal effort for a race-oriented clutch. The system is designed to handle high-power applications while maintaining predictable aggressive engagement.
The kit includes a CNC-machined and dynamically balanced flywheel, pressure plate cover, diaphragm spring, face, puck-style ceramic friction plates, rigid Mono-Drive hub, floater, patented Monoloc Collar, release bearing, alignment tool, and pilot bearing when required.
The Mod-Twin design is fully rebuildable, allowing most individual components to be ordered separately for long-term serviceability.

Driving Feel
