The ACT Mod-Twin 225 Heavy Duty Rigid Race Clutch Kit is engineered for high-powered BMW N54 and N55 applications where maximum torque capacity, rapid shifting, aggressive launches, and durability are priorities. The Mod-Twin 225 HD Rigid Race kit combines twin ceramic friction surfaces with a rigid Mono-Drive hub assembly to provide high friction capacity and consistent torque transfer in demanding racing applications.
The clutch features puck-style ceramic friction plates that provide a high coefficient of friction, excellent heat capacity, and long service life under demanding conditions. The friction plates transfer torque through a heat-treated chrome-moly rigid Mono-Drive hub, designed for strength, durability, and extended input shaft life through its continuous spline design.
Each diaphragm spring undergoes ACT's exclusive four-stage heat-treating process, helping provide consistent clamp load and a light pedal feel. The lightweight rigid construction is designed to support quick shifts while maintaining durability for high-powered AWD vehicles.
The kit includes a CNC-machined and dynamically balanced flywheel, pressure plate cover, diaphragm spring, face, puck-style ceramic friction plates, rigid Mono-Drive hub, floater, patented Monoloc Collar, release bearing, alignment tool, and pilot bearing when required.
ACT Mod-Twin clutches are fully rebuildable, allowing most individual components to be replaced separately for long-term serviceability.
