Description
The Verus Engineering Rear Diffuser Strakes for the R35 Nissan GT-R are a functional aerodynamic upgrade designed to improve the performance of the factory rear diffuser while giving the rear of the GT-R a more aggressive motorsport-inspired appearance.
The R35 Nissan GT-R already features a substantial factory rear diffuser, but its aerodynamic potential can be further improved through the addition of strategically designed vertical fences, commonly known as diffuser strakes. The Verus Engineering strakes are engineered to control airflow exiting the rear diffuser, helping increase downforce, reduce lift, and improve overall aerodynamic efficiency.
Using advanced aerodynamic analysis during development, Verus Engineering optimized the strake design to extract additional performance from the OEM diffuser. The strakes help control the volume and direction of airflow passing through the diffuser while reducing the disruption caused by the horseshoe-shaped vortices generated around the rear wheels.
By helping prevent these vortices from interfering with diffuser airflow, the strakes allow the factory diffuser to operate more efficiently. The resulting aerodynamic improvements can increase rear-end grip and stability at speed while maintaining a favorable lift-to-drag ratio.
The aggressive strake design also gives the R35 GT-R a more purposeful rear appearance without requiring replacement of the factory diffuser. The components are manufactured entirely from 1.6mm pre-preg 2x2 twill carbon fiber, providing a lightweight and strong construction with a polished carbon finish and no gel coat.
