The diffuser uses carefully developed aerodynamic surfaces to create vortices that help keep airflow attached to the diffuser surface, further improving its performance. By creating a low-pressure zone at the rear of the vehicle, the diffuser increases rear aerodynamic performance while working with front-end aerodynamic components to establish a balanced setup.
The dive planes used with the diffuser provide additional front-end downforce to help balance the rear aerodynamic load. Together, these components form a well-proportioned aerodynamic package for the Toyota GR Corolla, which Verus Engineering refers to as the Ventus 1 package.
