The Verus Engineering Non-Aggressive Rear Diffuser combines aerodynamic function, clean styling, and advanced development to improve the performance and appearance of the VA Subaru WRX/STI.
Using state-of-the-art aerodynamic analysis during development, Verus Engineering optimized the diffuser to extract additional performance from the available underbody space. The design increases rear downforce while reducing drag, improving the overall aerodynamic efficiency of the VA chassis.
Verus Engineering also utilized in-house 3D scan data during development to achieve a near-OEM fit and finish.
The Non-Aggressive Rear Diffuser is specifically designed for owners who want the aerodynamic benefits of a functional rear diffuser without an overly aggressive appearance. Its subtle strake design provides a clean, understated look that complements the factory styling of the VA WRX/STI.

Aerodynamic Science
The Verus Engineering Ventus 1 package is designed to reduce overall lift and drag on the VA WRX while improving the vehicle's aerodynamic efficiency.
The rear diffuser helps generate vortices that encourage airflow to remain attached to the diffuser surface. This allows the diffuser to effectively manage underbody airflow while creating a low-pressure zone at the rear of the vehicle.
When paired with a properly designed front splitter, which creates a low-pressure zone at the front of the vehicle, the rear diffuser contributes to a more balanced aerodynamic package across the WRX.
The result is improved aerodynamic efficiency that can help the vehicle make better use of its available tire grip during track driving. Verus Engineering also positions the Ventus 1 package as suitable for daily-driven vehicles, where its aerodynamic efficiency can contribute to improved fuel economy.
