Description
Verus Engineering Dive Plane (Canard) Kit – Toyota GT86
Overview
The Verus Engineering Dive Plane (Canard) Kit for the Toyota GT86 is designed to increase front-end downforce without requiring the front splitter to be moved farther forward. These dive planes provide an effective way to add front-end aerodynamic performance while maintaining a clean, integrated appearance.
Using state-of-the-art aerodynamic analysis during the R&D process, Verus Engineering optimized the dive plane design to extract additional performance from the available build volume. The result is increased downforce generation from the dive planes and improved aerodynamic performance at speed.
The dive plane kit is designed for Toyota GT86 owners who want to shift the vehicle's aerodynamic balance forward. This makes the kit particularly useful for balancing a larger rear wing or rear diffuser and achieving a more predictable aerodynamic setup.

Aerodynamic Performance
Properly designed dive planes can increase front-end grip and cornering speed by improving front-end downforce while reducing lift in other areas of the vehicle.
Verus Engineering utilized ANSYS CFD software during development to optimize the performance of the dive plane kit. This allowed the engineering team to extract more aerodynamic performance from the available build volume on the vehicle.
The dive planes are part of the Verus Engineering Ventus 2 aerodynamic package for the Subaru BRZ and Scion FR-S. The Ventus 2 package is designed to significantly increase aerodynamic performance while maintaining a safe and predictable aerodynamic balance at speed.
The Verus Engineering Ventus 2 package helps the BRZ and FR-S make better use of their tires on track while increasing driver confidence during high-speed driving. Although the Ventus 2 package is primarily geared toward track-focused vehicles, it can also be utilized on a daily-driven car.
