Description

The Verus Engineering Carbon Polyweave Adjustable Front Splitter is a versatile, high-performance aerodynamic upgrade designed to increase front-end downforce, reduce front-end lift, improve aerodynamic balance, and provide adjustable aerodynamic performance for the Subaru BRZ, Scion FR-S, and Toyota GT86.

Front splitters are highly effective at generating front-end downforce without significantly increasing drag. They accomplish this by creating a large pressure differential between the upper and lower surfaces of the splitter. The Verus Engineering Adjustable Front Splitter takes this concept further by allowing the user to adjust how far the splitter extends forward from the front bumper.

With four effective splitter positions and an adjustment range of 2 to 5 inches, the splitter can be configured to suit different rear aerodynamic setups and help fine-tune the vehicle's aerodynamic balance.

The splitter is constructed from a durable, lightweight carbon thermoplastic, a material used in high-level motorsports applications. Unlike conventional carbon fiber or ABS, the carbon thermoplastic is designed to resist cracking, while also avoiding the bending and deformation commonly associated with aluminum splitter designs.

The splitter is secured to chassis hardpoints through six splitter tie assemblies, allowing the system to withstand high aerodynamic loads. During development, Verus Engineering utilized advanced aerodynamic analysis software and in-house vehicle scan data to optimize performance and achieve a near-OEM fit and finish.

Adjustable Aerodynamic Design

The Verus Engineering Adjustable Front Splitter generates front-end downforce by creating a high-pressure zone on the upper surface of the splitter and a low-pressure zone underneath it. This pressure differential produces aerodynamic load over the front of the vehicle.

The adjustable design allows the driver to control how far the splitter extends beyond the front bumper, providing the ability to adjust the amount of front-end aerodynamic load generated by the splitter.

With an adjustment range of 2 to 5 inches longitudinally, the splitter can be configured to better match the aerodynamic requirements of different vehicle setups. This makes it particularly useful for vehicles equipped with different rear wings, rear diffusers, or other rear aerodynamic components.
