Description

Complete the appearance and improve the aerodynamic performance of your Subaru BRZ, Scion FR-S, or Toyota GT86 with the Verus Engineering Composite Side Splitter Kit. Designed to be both functional and visually integrated with the vehicle, these side splitters combine a horizontal splitter surface with a vertical underbody side skirt to improve airflow along the sides of the vehicle.

The side splitter and vertical skirt work together to reduce the amount of high-pressure air reaching the underside of the vehicle. This helps reduce aerodynamic lift and drag while contributing to improved overall vehicle stability and efficiency.

Unlike designs that require extensive underbody mounting, the Verus Engineering Composite Side Splitters attach to the vehicle's pinch weld, providing a simple and less-invasive installation.

During development, Verus Engineering utilized state-of-the-art aerodynamic analysis software and in-house vehicle scan data. This allowed the design to maximize aerodynamic performance within the available packaging space while maintaining a near-OEM fit and finish.

Aerodynamic Science

The Verus Engineering Composite Side Splitters are designed to reduce the amount of high-pressure air entering the underside of the vehicle. This improves the pressure distribution around the lower side of the vehicle and contributes to increased aerodynamic performance.

According to Verus Engineering testing, the side splitters reduce coefficient of lift (cL) by 0.011, equivalent to an 11-point reduction in lift, while reducing coefficient of drag (cD) by 0.002, equivalent to a 2-point reduction in drag.

The result is a component that generates additional downforce while simultaneously reducing aerodynamic drag.

The Composite Side Splitters are part of the Verus Engineering Ventus 2 aerodynamic package, which is designed to significantly reduce factory lift while maintaining an efficient and balanced aerodynamic setup.

Installation

The Composite Side Splitter Kit uses a simple bolt-on installation with pinch weld mounting. The adjustable design allows the side splitter and vertical skirt to be positioned inward, outward, upward, and downward to suit the vehicle and desired setup.

The included hardware and mounting components are designed to provide a straightforward installation without invasive underbody mounting.
