Anderson Composites utilizes more than 20 years of carbon fiber manufacturing experience to produce components with exceptional craftsmanship, strength, and consistency. This hood is manufactured using a vacuum-infused process with 3K, 2x2 twill carbon fiber cloth, providing a consistent weave pattern and an optimized carbon-to-resin ratio for increased stiffness and strength.
The double-sided construction features a carbon fiber skeleton bonded to the underside of the carbon fiber hood. This construction helps reduce weight while maintaining a rigid and durable structure. The integrated ram-air-style venting is designed to promote heat extraction from the engine compartment, while the removable and paintable mesh screen allows for additional customization.
A marine-grade gel coat containing UV inhibitors is applied and polished to provide a high-luster finish while helping protect the carbon fiber surface from UV exposure. The hood is designed to mount using OE hardware, although the factory hardware is not included.
