This Mustang carbon fiber hood is manufactured using a vacuum-infused process with 3K, 2x2 twill carbon fiber cloth. The construction provides a strong and lightweight structure while maintaining the distinctive appearance of exposed carbon fiber. A marine-grade gel coat containing UV inhibitors is applied and polished to help protect the surface and provide a deep, high-luster finish.
The hood features a carbon fiber skeleton bonded to the underside of the carbon fiber outer panel. This double-sided carbon fiber construction helps reduce weight while maintaining structural integrity. The integrated heat extractor design provides a functional way to help remove hot air from the engine compartment.
The removable mesh screen provides additional flexibility for customization and can be painted to match or complement your Mustang's exterior.
