The Anderson Composites Carbon Fiber Front Lower Grille is designed for the 2015-2017 Ford Mustang GT, GT Premium, and GT 50 Years Limited Edition, providing a lightweight and visually distinctive upgrade to the Mustang's front end. Combining premium carbon fiber construction with Anderson Composites' proven manufacturing expertise, this grille is engineered to enhance the vehicle's appearance while maintaining a performance-focused design.
The grille is manufactured using a vacuum-infused process with 3K, 2x2 twill carbon fiber cloth. This advanced construction method helps achieve an excellent carbon-to-resin ratio, providing increased stiffness and strength while retaining the lightweight characteristics of carbon fiber. A consistent weave pattern gives the component a premium appearance and complements other carbon fiber exterior components.
A marine-grade gel coat with UV inhibitors is applied to the surface and polished to produce a durable, high-luster finish. This protective coating helps protect the carbon fiber surface from UV exposure while enhancing the depth and visual appeal of the weave.
For additional customization, the grille insert can be removed to create a more aggressive open appearance. The component installs into the OE front bumper using factory-style hardware, although the OE hardware is not included.
