The ACT Mod-Twin 225 XT Rigid Street Clutch Kit (T2S-B05) is engineered for high-powered AWD street and street/strip applications requiring exceptional torque capacity, quick shifting, durability, and consistent pedal feel. With an 850 ft-lb torque capacity, this Xtreme version provides significantly greater holding power than the Heavy Duty configuration.
The Mod-Twin design combines two organic friction surfaces with a rigid Mono-Drive hub in a completely modular and rebuildable clutch system. The rigid hub provides direct torque transfer for quick shifts and durable performance under demanding conditions.
Each diaphragm spring undergoes ACT's exclusive four-stage heat-treatment process to provide consistent, light pedal effort. Steel-backed friction plates with high-quality organic friction material deliver a stable friction coefficient, good heat capacity, and long clutch life. The friction plates transfer torque through the heat-treated chrome-moly rigid Mono-Drive hub, which is designed for strength, durability, and extended input-shaft life through its continuous spline design.
The lightweight rigid configuration allows for quicker shifting and trouble-free service. The kit includes a CNC-machined and dynamically balanced flywheel, pressure plate cover, diaphragm spring, face, puck-style ceramic friction plates, rigid Mono-Drive hub, floater, patented Monoloc Collar, release bearing, alignment tool, and pilot bearing when required.
Mod-Twin clutches are fully rebuildable, and most components can be ordered separately.
