Description
The ACT T1SS-B05 Mod-Twin 225 HD Sprung Street Clutch Kit is designed for high-powered AWD street cars equipped with select BMW 3.0L turbocharged applications. This heavy-duty twin-disc clutch system combines high torque capacity, durability, refined engagement quality, and uncompromised pedal feel by utilizing twice the organic friction surface area with an ultra-durable spring-centered Mono-Drive hub in a completely modular design.
Each diaphragm spring undergoes an exclusive four-stage heat-treating process to provide consistent performance and light pedal effort. Steel-backed friction plates with high-quality organic friction materials deliver a stable friction coefficient, good heat capacity, and long clutch life. The friction plates uniformly transfer torque to the Mono-Drive sprung hub assembly, helping extend input shaft life and reduce driveline shock caused by torsional vibration.
The kit includes a CNC-machined and dynamically balanced flywheel, pressure plate cover, diaphragm spring, face, puck-style ceramic friction plates, sprung Mono-Drive hub assembly, floater, patented Monoloc Collar, release bearing, alignment tool, and pilot bearing if needed. ACT Mod-Twin clutches are fully rebuildable, and most components can be ordered separately.
