Description
The Verus Engineering Vortex Generator Kit for the FK8 Honda Civic Type R is designed to improve overall aerodynamic efficiency by controlling airflow over the rear glass and improving the airflow reaching the underside of the rear wing.
The Honda Civic Type R is already a highly capable performance vehicle from the factory, but aerodynamic efficiency can be further improved with carefully developed components. During the development of its rear wing systems, Verus Engineering identified detached airflow over the rear glass of the FK8 Civic Type R. This detached flow increases aerodynamic drag and can negatively affect the airflow reaching the underside of the rear wing, reducing its overall efficiency.
Verus Engineering developed these vortex generators to promote more attached airflow across this area of the vehicle. By strategically controlling airflow over the rear glass, the vortex generators help improve the efficiency of the overall vehicle aerodynamic package while also allowing compatible rear wings to operate more effectively.
The vortex generators are available in either 2x2 twill pre-preg carbon fiber or 3D-printed carbon nylon, depending on the selected configuration. Installation is straightforward and can be completed in approximately 30 minutes using the included 3M double-sided tape and installation template.

Aerodynamic Development
The Verus Engineering Vortex Generator Kit was developed after analyzing airflow characteristics around the FK8 Honda Civic Type R during the development of Verus Engineering rear wing systems.
The rear glass was identified as an area where airflow could become detached. This detached airflow increases drag and can reduce the amount and quality of airflow reaching the underside of the rear wing. By strategically positioning vortex generators on the rear glass, Verus Engineering promotes attached airflow and improves the aerodynamic behavior of this area.
The vortex generators help improve the efficiency of the UCW and P10 rear wings by providing cleaner, more effective airflow to the wing. The resulting aerodynamic improvements can reduce drag while increasing the downforce generated by compatible rear wing systems.
When combined with other components from the Verus Engineering Ventus aerodynamic packages, the vortex generators contribute to a more efficient and better-balanced aerodynamic setup for the FK8 Civic Type R.
Installation
