Description
The Verus Engineering Vortex Generator Kit for the G87 BMW M2 is designed to improve overall aerodynamic efficiency by controlling airflow over the rear glass and improving airflow reaching the underside of the rear wing.
The G87 BMW M2 is a highly capable performance vehicle from the factory, but carefully developed aerodynamic components can further improve its track performance. During the development of the G87 BMW M2 and Verus Engineering hood louver and rear wing systems, airflow analysis identified detached flow over the rear glass. This detached airflow increases drag and, due to the position of the UCW rear wing, can reduce the quality of airflow reaching the underside of the wing and slightly decrease its efficiency.
Verus Engineering developed these vortex generators to promote more attached airflow across the rear glass. By controlling airflow in this area, the vortex generators help reduce aerodynamic drag while increasing the downforce generated by the vehicle's aerodynamic package.
The vortex generators are manufactured from 2x2 twill pre-preg carbon fiber and are designed for a straightforward installation using double-sided tape. Installation can be completed in approximately 30 minutes with the included installation template.

Aerodynamic Development
The Verus Engineering Vortex Generator Kit was specifically developed for the G87 BMW M2 after analyzing airflow characteristics around the vehicle during the development of its aerodynamic components.
Verus Engineering identified detached airflow over the rear glass as an area that could negatively affect aerodynamic efficiency. This detached flow increases drag and can reduce the quality of airflow reaching the underside of the UCW rear wing.
The six vortex generators are strategically positioned to promote attached airflow over the rear glass. This helps the UCW rear wing operate more effectively while improving the airflow through the rear wake region of the BMW M2.
The resulting aerodynamic improvements reduce drag and increase downforce compared with the factory setup. When combined with the other components in the Verus Engineering Ventus 2 package, the vortex generators contribute to a more efficient and better-balanced aerodynamic setup for the G87 BMW M2.
Ventus 2 Compatibility
The Verus Engineering Vortex Generator Kit works in conjunction with the Ventus 2 aerodynamic package for the G87 BMW M2. The package is designed to improve overall aerodynamic efficiency while increasing downforce and maintaining a balanced vehicle setup.
By improving airflow over the rear glass and feeding cleaner airflow toward the UCW rear wing, the vortex generators complement the rest of the aerodynamic system and help maximize the performance of the vehicle's rear aero.
