Description
The Verus Engineering Drag Wing is specifically engineered for the Mk5 Toyota Supra to deliver an uncommon combination of reduced aerodynamic drag and increased rear downforce. Designed for high-horsepower drag racing and top-speed applications, this aerodynamic upgrade helps improve straight-line acceleration, top speed, rear tire traction, and high-speed stability.
Unlike conventional wings that prioritize downforce at the expense of additional drag, the Verus Engineering Drag Wing was developed around efficiency. The optimized airfoil reduces aerodynamic resistance while adding useful downforce to the rear axle. This allows the Supra to become more efficient in a straight line while maintaining additional rear-end grip and stability.
The wing was developed using state-of-the-art aerodynamic analysis and CFD optimization, with the airfoil specifically tailored to the requirements of high-power drag and top-speed racing. The design was further refined using in-house scan data to provide an OEM-like fit and finish.
The Drag Wing mounts directly to the factory trunk, with machined aluminum mounting brackets designed to safely manage the additional aerodynamic load. The mounts are powder coated for increased durability and a clean appearance.
For maximum performance, the Drag Wing pairs exceptionally well with the Verus Engineering Rear Diffuser. Together, these components further reduce drag while providing additional rear tire grip, helping improve elapsed times and driver confidence at high speed.
Technically, this product is more accurately classified as a spoiler, but "Drag Wing" sounds cooler.

Science & Aerodynamic Performance
The primary development goal of the Verus Engineering Drag Wing was to substantially reduce drag while simultaneously increasing useful rear downforce.
Through aerodynamic development and testing, Verus Engineering achieved a 19-point reduction in drag while also increasing downforce applied to the rear axle. This combination improves the Supra's overall aerodynamic efficiency while providing additional rear-end stability.
The reduced drag allows the vehicle to move more efficiently through the air, helping improve acceleration and top-speed performance. At the same time, the added rear downforce increases the available traction at the rear tires, which can help reduce wheelspin and improve acceleration.
When paired with the Verus Engineering Rear Diffuser, the Drag Wing forms a complementary aerodynamic package designed to further reduce drag while maintaining useful rear downforce.
