Description

The Verus Engineering Carbon Hood Louver Kit for the Ford Mustang Shelby GT350 is designed to evacuate hot, high-pressure air from the engine bay, helping reduce underhood temperatures and pressure while improving cooling system efficiency and potentially increasing front-end aerodynamic grip. Developed using vehicle scan data, CFD analysis, and on-track testing, this hood louver is engineered specifically around the Mustang GT350 hood for an OEM-style fit and finish.

The louver is positioned in an area of naturally low pressure on the hood to maximize hot-air evacuation from the engine compartment. By allowing heated engine-bay air to escape through the hood rather than remaining trapped underneath it, the system can dramatically reduce underhood temperatures and pressure. The Verus Engineering Carbon Hood Louver was developed using computational fluid dynamics to identify an area of low pressure on the Mustang GT350 hood. Positioning the louver within this low-pressure region allows hot air and pressure from the engine bay to evacuate more effectively.
