The Verus Engineering Brake Cooling Kit for the Subaru WRX (VB) is designed to improve brake cooling, reduce heat buildup, and provide more consistent braking performance during aggressive street driving and track use. Modern performance vehicles combine strong braking performance with daily drivability, but repeated hard braking can generate significant heat that leads to brake fade and reduced consistency.
Designed in an OEM-style format, the Verus Engineering brake cooling system prioritizes a short and efficient airflow path. A custom 3D-printed carbon nylon bumper duct captures high-pressure air from the front bumper and directs it through the included high-temperature silicone hose toward the center of the brake rotor.
The system uses a 3D-printed 316L stainless steel duct integrated into each backing plate to help direct airflow directly toward the rotor center. This focused airflow increases the cooling capacity of both OEM and aftermarket brake systems, helping maintain more consistent brake performance during repeated high-temperature use.
Verus Engineering developed the components using in-house scan data and CFD analysis of the VB WRX, resulting in an OEM-like fit and finish. The kit includes pre-cut hoses and the required installation hardware for a straightforward installation using common hand tools.
