Aerodynamic Function
A front splitter generates downforce by creating a pressure differential between its upper and lower surfaces. However, high-pressure air can enter the area between the front bumper and splitter, reducing the pressure differential and limiting the splitter's aerodynamic effectiveness.
The Verus Engineering Splitter Air Dam helps prevent this high-pressure air from reaching the underside of the splitter. By controlling airflow between the bumper and splitter, the air dam allows the splitter to achieve a greater pressure differential at speed, increasing the downforce generated by the front splitter.
