The Sparco Prime 62 Black/Yellow is a premium professional racing suit developed in collaboration with the McLaren Formula One team. It is engineered as one of the lightest racing suits in the world homologated to FIA 8856-2018 standards, designed for elite motorsport performance, safety, and driver comfort.
Developed through Sparco’s advanced R&D laboratories, the Prime suit represents extreme optimization in every aspect of material engineering and construction. Every detail has been refined, including an ultra-slim lightweight zipper, reduced neck and shoulder padding, thinner thread usage, and fully flattened stitching to minimize bulk and improve comfort during racing conditions.
The Sparco Prime LT construction utilizes a 3-layer proprietary Sparco technology system. The outer layer is a double-faced mesh made from original DuPont Nomex Comfort using the Kompact system. This advanced structure provides excellent heat resistance while maintaining high breathability. The fabric also contains a high percentage of antistatic fibers, delivering strong antistatic protection combined with airflow performance suitable for professional motorsport environments.
Designed for driving ergonomics, the suit features pre-curved arms and legs that follow the natural seated driving position. An inner thigh stretch panel further enhances flexibility and comfort inside the cockpit, ensuring unrestricted movement during high-performance driving.
The Sparco Prime 62 Black/Yellow is available in sizes 48–66 (European sizing) and is part of a 3-colorway Prime range. It is fully FIA 8856-2018 approved and also certified to SFI 3.2A/5 standards, meeting top-level international motorsport safety requirements.
