The Sparco Prime 62 Black is a premium professional racing suit developed in collaboration with the McLaren Formula One team. It is engineered as one of the lightest racing suits in the world homologated to FIA 8856-2018 standards, designed for elite motorsport performance, safety, and driver comfort.
Developed through Sparco’s advanced R&D laboratories, the Prime suit represents extreme refinement in every detail of construction and material engineering. Every element has been optimized, including an ultra-slim lightweight zipper, reduced neck and shoulder padding, thinner thread usage, and flattened stitching to minimize bulk and enhance comfort during driving.
The Sparco Prime LT uses a 3-layer proprietary Sparco construction system. The outer layer consists of a double-faced mesh made from original DuPont Nomex Comfort using the Kompact system. This advanced structure provides excellent heat resistance while maintaining high breathability. The fabric also contains a high percentage of antistatic fibers, delivering strong antistatic protection combined with airflow performance suitable for professional racing environments.
Designed for driving ergonomics, the suit features pre-curved arms and legs that follow the natural seated racing position. An integrated inner thigh stretch panel further improves flexibility and comfort inside the cockpit, ensuring unrestricted movement during high-performance driving.
The Sparco Prime 62 Black is available in sizes 48–66 (European sizing) and is part of a 3-colorway Prime range. It is fully FIA 8856-2018 approved and also certified to SFI 3.2A/5 standards, meeting top-tier international motorsport safety requirements.
