Silicone Intake Pipe
The Ramair silicone intake pipe is designed to replace the original OEM plastic induction hose fitted to the 2.0 TSI EA888 engine. It is suitable for a wide range of MQB-platform vehicles, including the VW Golf MK7 GTI and Golf R, Audi S3, SEAT Leon Cupra, and other compatible applications.
Featuring a carefully designed constant-radius profile, the silicone hose helps reduce restriction through the initial section of the intake tract and provides a smoother airflow path compared with the factory pipework. It is designed as a direct replacement and can be used with the OEM airbox or compatible aftermarket induction kits that retain the standard airbox mounting position.
The intake hose is manufactured from high-quality multi-ply silicone with fabric mesh reinforcement, providing excellent durability and resistance to the demanding temperatures and conditions found within the engine bay.
The kit includes two high-quality stainless-steel W2 hose clamps, replacing the difficult-to-use OEM spring clamps and providing secure connections during installation.
Oversized Turbo Inlet Elbow
The oversized turbo inlet elbow is designed as a direct replacement for the standard turbo inlet elbow used with compatible 1.8 TFSI and 2.0 TFSI/TSI EA888 engines and IHI turbochargers found across MQB-platform vehicles.
Its larger internal profile is designed to provide increased airflow potential to the turbocharger while maintaining compatibility with the OEM intake hose and factory airbox. The upgraded inlet can also contribute to a slightly more pronounced induction sound.
For durability and precise fitment, the turbo inlet elbow is constructed from lightweight aluminum tubing with CNC-machined connections and a laser-cut mounting bracket. The assembly is fully TIG welded and finished in a textured black powder coat, giving it a clean, OEM-style appearance.
The kit includes all required fittings, along with a replacement O-ring in case the original factory seal is worn or deteriorated. Step-by-step photographic installation instructions are also supplied to help simplify installation.
