The RaceQuip 122 Series Multi Layer Fire Suit Pants are engineered for drivers who require maximum fire protection, durability, and comfort in demanding motorsport environments. Built using a multi-layer construction system, these pants provide enhanced thermal resistance while maintaining flexibility and breathability for extended racing use.
These pants meet and exceed SFI 3.2A/5 standards and are classified as an SFI-5 certified racing garment. With a TPP Rating of 25, they deliver a high level of protection against heat and flame exposure, making them suitable for professional and competitive racing applications.
The construction features a triple-layer system designed for optimal safety and performance. The outer layer is made from durable Pyrovatex® FRC, providing a smooth, slightly shiny finish along with strong flame resistance and moisture-wicking capability. The middle layer consists of Nomex® batting, an inherently fire-retardant aramid fiber that significantly enhances thermal insulation. The inner liner is constructed from soft Pyrovatex® FRC, ensuring comfort against the skin while maintaining breathability.
Pyrovatex® FRC is a cotton-based fire-retardant material known for its softness, flexibility, and moisture management. It is gentle on the skin and helps reduce irritation during long racing sessions. The treatment process bonds at a molecular level with cotton fibers, helping preserve flame-retardant properties over time with proper care. As with all motorsport safety equipment, these pants are fire retardant rather than fireproof.
