The RaceQuip 122 Series SFI-5 Multi-Layer Fire Pants – Black (X-Large) are high-performance motorsport safety pants engineered by RaceQuip for advanced flame and heat protection in demanding racing environments. The construction features a three-layer fire-retardant system designed for maximum protection and durability. The outer and inner layers are made from Pyrovatex® FRC (Flame Retardant Cotton), a material engineered to retain the softness and breathability of cotton while providing effective flame and heat resistance. This fabric also helps wick moisture away from the skin, improving comfort during extended racing sessions.
The middle layer consists of Nomex® batting, an inherently fire-retardant aramid material that enhances overall thermal protection. Together, these layers deliver a TPP rating of 25, providing a strong balance of safety, durability, and comfort for competitive motorsport applications.
The Pyrovatex® material is chemically bonded at the molecular level to ensure long-lasting flame-retardant properties when properly maintained. All seams are reinforced using heavy-duty multi-needle over-lock stitching, improving structural strength under racing stress.
