The RaceQuip 121 Series Multi Layer Fire Suit Jacket is designed for drivers who demand high levels of fire protection, durability, and comfort in competitive motorsport environments. Featuring a multi-layer construction system, this jacket provides enhanced thermal resistance while maintaining breathability and flexibility for extended use.
This jacket meets and exceeds SFI 3.2A/5 standards and is classified as an SFI-5 certified racing garment. With a TPP Rating of 25, it offers significantly greater protection against heat and flames compared to single-layer racing jackets.
The construction is built around a triple-layer system for optimal safety and comfort. The outer layer is made from durable Pyrovatex® FRC, delivering a smooth, slightly shiny finish with excellent flame resistance and moisture-wicking capability. The middle layer consists of Nomex® batting, an inherently fire-retardant aramid fiber that enhances insulation and thermal protection. The inner liner is made from soft Pyrovatex® FRC, ensuring comfort against the skin while maintaining breathability.
Pyrovatex® FRC is a cotton-based fire-retardant material engineered to retain softness, flexibility, and breathability while offering reliable protection. It is gentle on the skin and designed to reduce irritation during long racing sessions. The molecular bonding process helps preserve its flame-retardant properties over time with proper care. As with all motorsport safety equipment, this jacket is fire retardant, not fireproof.
The jacket is assembled using heavy-duty multi-needle over-lock safety stitching to ensure exceptional seam strength and durability. A high-quality heavy-duty Nomex® backed brass zipper with a double overlap closure provides a secure and protective front fastening system.
Styled with a professional motorsport appearance, the jacket features black epaulets, a high back collar, and contrasting stripe detailing. A pleated back panel enhances flexibility and range of motion, while black wrist cuffs provide a secure fit and added comfort.
