The RaceQuip 121 Series Multi-Layer Fire Jacket is a high-performance motorsport safety jacket engineered by RaceQuip to deliver advanced flame, heat, and abrasion protection for serious competitive drivers. The construction features a three-layer protective system engineered for maximum safety and durability. The outer and inner layers are made from Pyrovatex® FRC (Flame Retardant Cotton), a cotton-based fire-retardant material that retains softness, breathability, and flexibility while effectively wicking moisture away from the skin. This helps improve comfort during long racing sessions and reduces heat buildup.
The center layer consists of Nomex® batting, an inherently fire-retardant aramid material that significantly enhances thermal resistance. Combined, these layers deliver a TPP rating of 25, providing strong protection against severe heat and flame exposure in high-performance motorsport conditions.
The Pyrovatex® fibers are chemically bonded at the molecular level, ensuring long-lasting fire-retardant performance when properly maintained. All seams are constructed using heavy-duty multi-needle over-lock stitching, improving seam strength and durability under racing stress.
