The Morimoto XB Evo Supercharged Drivers are a high-performance LED driver upgrade designed specifically for Morimoto XB Evo, XRGB Evo, and XB Evo Hybrid headlights on Ford Super Duty trucks. Engineered to unlock the full output potential of the factory-installed Bi-LED projectors, these upgraded drivers significantly increase low and high beam intensity for enhanced nighttime visibility in off-road and performance driving environments.
From the factory, Morimoto XB Evo series headlights are intentionally limited to maintain DOT and FMVSS108 compliance for public road use in the United States and Canada. While the standard drivers already deliver exceptional output, the Supercharged Drivers replace the factory LED drivers with higher-output units that boost projector intensity by approximately 30-50% without negatively affecting reliability or warranty coverage.
Designed as a direct bolt-on upgrade, the Supercharged Drivers install quickly and easily onto the rear of the headlight housings using factory-style connections and supplied hardware. No cutting, splicing, or complex modifications are required, making installation straightforward for enthusiasts and professional installers alike.
The increased output dramatically enhances both low beam width and high beam distance, allowing the XB Evo series headlights to outperform nearly every competing option available for the Ford Super Duty platform. This added intensity is particularly beneficial for off-road driving, rural environments, and low-visibility conditions where maximum illumination is critical.
When installed on Morimoto XB Evo Hybrid headlights, the Supercharged Drivers also activate the premium multi-stage welcome lighting sequence feature that is otherwise unavailable on the Hybrid models. The Supercharged Drivers maintain the same OE-grade reliability standards expected from Morimoto products and are engineered to operate safely with the existing headlight system. However, due to the increased beam intensity, these drivers create non-compliant output levels for public road use in the USA and Canada and are intended strictly for off-road applications.
