Description
The MG Flasher Stage 1 calibration for MINI B48/B46 vehicles is designed for drivers seeking a safe and reliable performance upgrade on stock hardware. This ECU software is engineered to maximize engine efficiency, improve power delivery, and enhance overall drivability while maintaining smooth and consistent operation across the entire RPM range.
The calibration focuses on refined boost control, optimized ignition timing, and improved torque management to deliver a stronger and more responsive driving experience without sacrificing daily usability.
Important: A valid MG Flasher Flasher License is required to flash any OTS or custom maps.
Vehicle Compatibility
- Only MINI models equipped with the MG1 ECU are supported
- ECU compatibility should be confirmed with support before purchase
ECU Compatibility & Unlock Requirements
- ECUs manufactured July 2020 and newer are supported with bench unlock (Femto or AutoTuner)
- ECU must be sent to an authorized unlock provider or unlocked by a qualified third-party tuner
- Some software versions may require Bench OBD Unlock
- Additional unlock costs are determined by third-party providers and are not included

Note: On-the-fly switching is currently supported only on F-Series Gen 1 B58 vehicles. Hybrid and Gen 2 platforms are under development. Temporary map adjustments can be performed during flashing (15–20 seconds via ENET). Ethanol switchable maps will be reintroduced in a future update.

Gen 2 Vehicles
Software-based torque management allows accurate torque calculation without altering factory logic.
- Factory torque limits:
- B58: 550 Nm (400 lb-ft)
- B48: 440 Nm (325 lb-ft)
MG Flasher provides an adjustable solution that allows torque limit increases up to 1000 Nm via custom software calibration. Adjustment is available within the application.
Gen 1 Vehicles (8HP50 Transmission)
These vehicles include a transmission torque limiter. For optimal performance and smooth torque delivery:
- Increase limiter via xHP Flashtool, or
- Have transmission ECU limiters recalibrated by a professional tuner
Software Integrity Features
- CVN (Checksum Verification Number) remains unchanged
- Flash counter remains untouched
- Designed for reduced detectability at dealer-level diagnostics
