Updated with completely new ECU calibrations as of January 2025, Jackal Motorsports tuning is engineered to deliver increased power, sharper throttle response, smoother drivability, and faster, crisper transmission shifts.
Jackal Motorsports offers Stage 1, Stage 2, and Stage 2+ tuning, as well as full custom tuning support for modified vehicles. Each calibration is developed to provide substantial performance gains while maintaining smooth and predictable drivability for daily driving, spirited driving, and performance applications.
Performance Gains
Jackal Motorsports provides the following claimed wheel horsepower and torque gains:
- Stage 1: +86 WHP / +64 ft-lbs
- Stage 2: +130 WHP / +126 ft-lbs
- Stage 2+: +165 WHP / +150 ft-lbs
- Stage 2+ E40: +185 WHP / +193 ft-lbs
These figures are uncorrected numbers and are not Dynojet or crank horsepower figures.
Stage 1 Tuning
Stage 1 is designed for vehicles with relatively basic modifications. An aftermarket intake or drop-in filter is strongly recommended, while an upgraded heat exchanger is also recommended.
Stage 2 Tuning
Stage 2 is designed for vehicles equipped with a single-pulley setup. A 187-192mm crank pulley is recommended, although a 57mm supercharger pulley can also be used. An aftermarket air intake is required, and an upgraded heat exchanger is strongly recommended or required.
Stage 2+ Tuning
Stage 2+ is designed for dual-pulley configurations and higher-performance setups. Compatible pulley combinations include 187/57, 190/57, 192/57, or a single 207mm pulley. An aftermarket air intake and upgraded heat exchanger are required. A cat-back exhaust and HPFP upgrade are recommended, while a CWA100 coolant pump and test pipes are also recommended.
Stage 2+ E40 Tuning
Stage 2+ E40 is designed for vehicles equipped with all required Stage 2+ modifications, an upgraded HPFP, and a fuel mixture containing approximately 40% ethanol. An ethanol gauge is strongly recommended for monitoring the fuel mixture.
Jackal Motorsports ZF8 TCU Tune
Jackal Motorsports includes TCU tuning with the tune package to complement the ECU calibration and improve the overall driving experience. The ZF8 transmission calibration is designed to provide smoother and faster shifting throughout the vehicle's operating range.
The Jackal ZF8 TCU tune includes:
- Smoother shifting and driving throughout the RPM range
- Faster upshifts
- Faster downshifts
- Progressive launch control from approximately 3000-3400 RPM
- Improved and faster AMAX shifting
- Faster upshifts and downshifts in manual mode
- Improved transmission response and performance
Upgraded Throttle Body Support
Jackal Motorsports offers upgraded throttle body maps for vehicles using aftermarket throttle bodies. Vehicles equipped with an 034 throttle body require the Jackal Motorsports TB Adapter Harness, available as an option during checkout. Vehicles using IE or APR throttle bodies do not require repinning or an additional harness.
Free Stage Swapping
Once you purchase a Jackal Motorsports tune and cable, you can freely switch between the stock calibration and available tuning stages without additional stage-swap charges. This allows you to change your vehicle's calibration as your modifications and performance requirements evolve.
Water Methanol Injection and Ethanol Support
Jackal Motorsports offers Water Methanol Injection (WMI) tuning options for applicable stages, along with E40 calibration support for dual-pulley setups. These options allow the calibration to be optimized for the vehicle's specific fuel and performance configuration.
Additional Features
Auto Start/Stop is disabled through the tuning on applicable vehicles equipped with the factory system.
For staged 3.0TFSI files, Jackal Motorsports recommends NGK BKR8EIX spark plugs gapped to 0.026 inches.
In-house flashing is available, as well as remote flashing using the Jackal Tuning Cable. Jackal Motorsports also provides full custom tuning support for this platform, allowing modified vehicles to receive calibration tailored to their specific hardware and requirements.
