Description
The DCE Parts BMW S58 G87 M2 High Flow Equal Length Single Midpipe Hybrid Midpipe is engineered to reduce exhaust restriction, improve exhaust flow, and deliver a deeper, more aggressive exhaust note. Designed specifically around the BMW S58 twin-turbo inline-six platform, this equal-length single-pipe configuration combines improved flow characteristics with a distinctive exhaust sound that differs substantially from the factory system.
The equal-length design balances the exhaust path between the two cylinder banks, helping harmonize the exhaust pulses from cylinders 1–3 and 4–6. This configuration changes the characteristic sound of the S58, producing a smoother and more balanced exhaust note with a character that can resemble the sound of a traditional high-performance inline-six or racing engine.
The single-pipe hybrid section further mixes the exhaust pulses from both cylinder banks. This design is intended to create a deeper, throatier exhaust character while adding a higher-pitched tone under acceleration. From inside the vehicle, the result is a more pronounced and engaging exhaust sound, while outside the vehicle the system produces a distinctive motorsport-inspired tone.
By using a high-flow, less-restrictive design, the DCE Parts midpipe is intended to reduce exhaust backpressure and improve exhaust gas flow. The manufacturer states that the reduced restriction can contribute to improved throttle response, faster turbocharger spool, and increased power potential in the lower and mid RPM ranges.

This midpipe is available with OPF/GPF sensor bungs or without OPF/GPF bungs, allowing the configuration to be selected according to the intended vehicle setup. Because this system removes the factory OPF/GPF emissions equipment, it is intended for off-road, race, motorsport, or competition use only where permitted by applicable regulations.
